Jeremy King is a lifetime resident of Guthrie County, Iowa, and has raised a family of his own here alongside his wife Jacki of 20 years. After two decades as a certified peace officer for the State of Iowa, he brings a strong level of passion and experience to public service with a standing desire to return integrity to the state of Iowa. His career and passions are fueled by a diverse background, including hands-on agricultural experience at a family farm in Crawford County, football, wrestling, baseball and fishing team coaching and officiating youth sports.

King is a licensed Realtor and small business owner based out of Panora, Iowa. He played a key role in passing state legislation to expand the wildly popular high school fishing program and currently leads a growing statewide youth fishing organization that provides competitive opportunities for young anglers. As a committed lifetime outdoor enthusiast, the combination of leadership, youth development and community engagement has created lasting impacts within various pursuits.

He is a graduate of Guthrie Center high school (1998), earned a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Management from Upper Iowa University (2002) where he also competed as a collegiate wrestler. Furthering his professional development, King received an endorsement as a Certified Public Manager (CPM) from Drake University (2013). His education, combined with extensive hands-on experience in law enforcement, resource conservation, public service and community leadership has shaped a fulfilling career and developed a passion for the residents of Iowa.

Mrs. King is a high school science teacher at Panorama high school, and she is also a licensed Realtor. Together they have two children and prioritize faith and family at their dinner table daily. Collectively, they understand and appreciate the importance of supporting small business and producers by investing in locally-raised beef, pork, honey and fresh produce from area growers.
